Tech the Halls: 12 Days of Christmas – Day #11: 3D Printing Pen

12 Days of Christmas - Day 11
See your drawings become reality.
3D Printing has been around for a while.  While usually only found in the business and medical fields, it is slowly becoming a part of the commercial field with individuals able to take advantage and use the technology.
The 3D Printing pen is capable of creating 3D plastic drawings.  Whatever you draw with the pen is capable of becoming a small 3D model.  The pen works by releasing a warm thermoplastic instead of ink that hardens within seconds allowing you to create a 3D model.
Due to its fast-drying capabilities, users can also draw their designs in midair allowing the air currents to dry and harden their designs.
The pen comes with 50 plastic refills as well as an assortment of different colour “inks” allowing you to create multi-colour models.
The pen needs to be plugged in to work. The device comes with a 6” long cord that you plug into a wall outlet.
Blueprints such like the Eiffel Tower and a napkin holder are also available to download in order to give users a framework to draw with.
For anyone interested in 3D printing technology without the large expense, consider the 3D Printing Pen for Christmas. It currently retails for $100 USD on
