When using Worldox with an integrated application, the system will automatically open Worldox for file selection when opening or saving a file within an integrated application. However, there are times when the application requesting a file is not integrated with Worldox and you will receive a file prompt instead of the familiar Worldox interface. Not to worry, there is an easy solution to this!
Solution 1: Ask your Worldox integrator to make it so that the application is integrated if this is something that you will do often for business. Worldox integrates with over 100 applications but integration is not turned on for all of them at once. Typically, integration is turned on for Office Documents, Browsers, PDF software and PC Law.
Solution 2: As an end user of Worldox, you can solve this problem on your own. Here is how:
- Right click on the file to be inserted into the non integrated application from within Worldox.
- Select the item Copy Location to Clipboard.
- Go to the application requesting the file and Paste the information in the clipboard to it. Typically this will look like M:\Client\00000534\OPS\00044509.VSDX or something similar. This is the path to the file in the Worldox database.
- Choose OK to upload your file!
Both solutions will enable non integrated applications to access files within Worldox. Enjoy!
